Friday 23rd January 2015

    today we filmed as much of the fourth murder( school classroom scene) as possible. We had to do this on today as the majority of the filming will be done on sunday 25th, when the school won't be open. Due to Steph being in lesson, I decided to act in this scene, and she will do my scene ( second murder) on Sunday. As a result, we used my phone and keys instead. Here are the new props:

Filming and Editing- Progress

Sunday 25rd January 2015

    We went to the park to film the 3rd murder. As it was a sunny day, we had a few issues with lens flares. Eventually, we managed to shoot without them. We also had problems as other people were in the park. We will be careful not to use any footage with them in it. After that, we went to jades house to film the news report that will show the first murder. We will film the actual murder at a later date, as our actor wasn't available on the sunday. We found that our location was windy. as a result, we will record an audio version in a quiet location, and put it on in our editing time. We will have to make sure that it is in sync, to make it look as proffessional as possible. After this, we went to my house to film the second murder. However, we needed the news report on the TV. But we couldnt edit it at my house. as a result, we filmed the final walking towards the camera instead.

     Here is Charlotte, in costume as our antagonist.

This is my phone, and will be used in the scene rather than Steph's.

These are the keys that will be used now.

            Here is a before and after of us covering charlotte's feet in fake blood. We did this to create the look of her walking in a puddle someones blood, to show the gore element of our thriller. But as there is no blood on the victims, we don't know where its come from or whos it is. this is to keep the deaths implicit, and to create the suspense and mystery of thriller films.

Monday 26rd January 2015

    We filmed the remainder of the classroom scene today. To keep continuity, I wore exactly the same clothes, jewellery, and had my hair and make up identical to how I had it on friday. Luckily the classroom we needed was empty, and there were no changes to the displays.

Tuesday 27rd January 2015

    We filmed the second murder at my house in our lunch break. we filmed on my camera today to get a manual focus pull. as we don't have a tripod on wheels we had to film one of the shots several times to get a smooth shot. after school we went to Jade's house to film the first murder. This went well, however we had to shoot quickly to keep in the light. we have now completed all our filming.

Friday 30th January 2015

     we began editing our footage today, on two different computers. this is so we can get as much work done in the short amount of time. today we put the footage into sony vegas and ordered it, and began to cut and edit the footage. this was very time consuming due to the wealth of footage we have! However, we got a lot done.

Monday 2nd Feburary  2015

    today we collated all our work into one sony vegas programme. this is because we ran in to some difficulties with transferring the footage from one to another. 

Thursday 12th  Feburary 2015

      we added the music to our footage today.
